The Fallon/Fernley Industries Thrift Store

The Fallon IndustriesThrift Store is the best Thrift Store in town voted on by the citizens of Fallon for 2006.  We take pride in all of the work we do.  Thankfully supported by our community we receive donations to make our store run with great success.  The proceeds of the store in turn pay the wages of our individuals that work so hard to make the store clean and organized.

Let me explain the process in which it takes to get the donations to their final destination -The Fallon/Fernley Industries Thrift Store.  First we have a great community that supports us and donates items to us on a daily basis.  We have a team of individuals that receive the donations at our Donation Center located at 1520 South Maine Street.  They sort and crate like items together to be cleaned.  After all the sellable items have been cleaned they are transported to our Thrift Store at 165 South Maine Street, and now in Fernley at 1301 Financial Way.  Individuals working at the Thrift Store receive these sellable donations and price them for sale.  Each individual is assigned to a specific department in the store where they stock these donations in the correct department in which they belong.

Fallon/Fernley Industries works side by side with Friends Family Resource Center, Social Services, Domestic Violence, and New Frontier, by offering free needed clothes, shoes and some household items and furniture to assist families of Churchill County in need.

Please keep Fallon/Fernley Industries in mind whenever you are cleaning up around your home or office.  We would appreciate any and all sellable items that you may have for donation.  A receipt is available for your tax purposes upon request.  As always, thank you for shopping Fallon Industries and supporting our community and people with disabilities.

Fallon/Fernley Industries works hard to strive for the best within our company and our donations. With this said we are setting a policy forth to let the community know that we will no longer be able to accept certain items.

Items that can not be accepted by Fallon/Fernley Industries;
Clothing that is not bagged or boxed
Torn furniture
Broken furniture
Non-working appliances
Appliances over 5-7 years old
Computer monitors over 5 years old
Metal desks
Paint & chemicals
Wet items

Items Fallo/Fernleyn Industries can accept if they are in resalable condition;
Clothing
Furniture
Dishes
Knick-Knacks
Working appliances
Small appliances

At this time we can only schedule donation pick-ups for those who have furniture items. To schedule please call 423-4760 ext. 232. For donations in Fernley please call 775-575-7000. Thank You For Your Support.
